Wriggle and Rhyme - Photos of Mums and Babies

Wriggle and Rhyme

Mondays 10:30am and 1:30pm

These free music and movement sessions are aimed to stimulate development of the brain and body for babies 0 – 2 years. Run in the Learning and Activity Space during the school term.

Your Story Time for Under 5s

Wednesdays, 10:00 – 10:30am 

Sessions are run in South City with Stories, rhymes, songs and lots of fun.
Held at The POD, 260 Ness Street.  Behind The Pantry in South City.

Preschool Storytime and Craft

Wednesdays, 10:30 – 11:00am 

Hands on fun for kids. Preschool sessions are fun weekly sessions with a story time followed by a craft. These run in the Learning and Activity Space during the school term.

Afterschool Clubs

A range of free after school clubs are offered for kids during the school term. Visit our Kids Clubs page for more information, or to register your child for a club.

Kids Picks

Our Kids Picks are books selected for kids, by kids. When visiting our library be sure to visit our large Kids Picks display area. You can now even check out our kids picks online.

Dyslexia Friendly Authors

The following authors have written books appropriate for children with dyslexia. Books are filed based on the author’s last name, e.g. to find books by Malorie Blackman look under BLA.

Homework Help

AnyQuestions offers free online schoolwork help to New Zealand school students. You can log on to the website from 1pm to 6pm weekdays during the school year and chat online with a friendly librarian about a schoolwork question.
