When: Monday 19th February, 5:30pm
Where: Library Meeting room. Refreshments provided.
Come along to the Library for an engaging, free talk from writer Emma Stevens. Emma has written three memoirs, Walking on Ice, Nesting on the Nushagak and Dancing on the Tundra, about her ‘girl’s own adventure’: her life-changing decision to marry an Alaskan high school principal and leave her beloved New Zealand for a world of snow and ice, caribou and bears, and the Yup’ik Eskimo people.
During her six-year journey in remote bush Alaska, Emma faced unexpected and at times life-threatening situations. Her stories are guaranteed to engross her listeners, transporting them deep into the heart of the Alaskan wilderness and the people who live there.
Emma will have her books for sale for $25 each or $60 for the complete trilogy. She can accept cash, cheques and eftpos.
