Come along and meet those behind the Southland Oral History Project. The project aims to capture Southland stories as a collective memory of what it is to be part of this community.

The Project is actively supported by Heritage South and the Invercargill City Libraries and Archives and run with the help of amazing local volunteers. Come along and talk to our interviewers about what they do and how you can get involved and support the project.

Refurbishment Update: Stage 3 nearing completion

Stage 3 of our ongoing refurbishment project is nearing its completion. Stage 4, the final phase, is scheduled to begin 2 November 2018.

You will notice our new Help Desk right in the middle of the ground floor when you come into the Library, whether from the Dee Street or car park entrance. This is the first point of call for all of your enquiries. We will be pleased to show you around and point you in the right direction, please ask.
